Arrowverse architect Greg Berlanti is also attached to produce. The project is being produced by Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux ( Batwoman, Gotham), along with Natalie Abrams ( Batwoman), who is a co-executive producer.
Per TV Line, the logline teases this “renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names - but in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been.” TV Line reports the project will pick up in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder as his “adopted son” (no word on which “son” that might be from the myriad potential options and Robins throughout the Batman canon) teams up with the children of Batman’s enemies after they are accused of killing the Dark Knight. It seems Batwoman won’t be the only hero roaming a version of Gotham City on The CW, as the network has put a Gotham Knights series into development, based on the DC Comics series of the same name.
